Ed Maltby is a producer with over 35 years experience managing conventional and organic dairy, beef, sheep and vegetable enterprises on a variety of different farms in Europe and the United States. Since 1992, he has worked with regional farms to cooperatively market their products into mainstream markets, provide business planning services and organizational leadership. This work has ranged from joint marketing over 75 USDA certified “Natural” lambs per week and direct marketing organic produce, to establishing a cooperative of dairy farmers who direct market their own brand of milk in Western Massachusetts, to a community based “Buy Local – Be a Local hero” campaign in western Massachusetts that has been used as a model nationally.

Lisa McCrory is an organic dairy and livestock consultant. Her work includes on-farm technical assistance to farmers interested in organic dairy & livestock production, Management Intensive Grazing (MIG), and organizing conferences and workshops.
Lisa consults for the Northeast Organic Dairy Producers Alliance (NODPA), the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT), University of Vermont, and is on the Advisory Council and the Livestock Review Panel for the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI). Lisa operates Earthwise Farm and Forest with her husband Carl Russell where they use draft animals for logging & fieldwork, and raise organic vegetables, flowers, herbs and grass fed meat & milk products.
